Lords of Crystal Lake

This book is beyond fantastic. From the moment that you start reading you are grabbed and taken to another place where reality is twisted and you dont know which way to go. It moves along at a really great pace which works perfectly with the way that the story flows. You will love these characters even if you are not sure of trusting your feelings. This book is a must read, no doubt about it. It will keep you interested and needing to know more.

Alphas Feral Little Mate

I made it to 44% in this book. The premise is honestly one I’d like to see done well but this book misses the mark. It reads like a Vella turned into a book, everything is over exaggerated, all the people (including the ones in charge of her old pack) are sinister, sinister smiles, sinister airs… it get tedious after a bit. The prose is… I don’t think I’ve ever read a book that tries so hard to use words that aren’t used in everyday speech “alpha! I desperately ____”from a child is a bit much. I would honestly love to see this book actually fleshed out and polished, maybe change the word usage to everyday speech instead of it sounding like an odd mix of something set in the 1600s and modern language. My other issue are the alphas running the center… the first time you meet Lex is like reading an advertisement for a rehab facility, which he does but I swear it was like reading the subtitles for an infomercial and we aren’t even going to talk about the alpha pulling his shirt up to let Omegas nurse on him (yikes!). I really wanted to like this more but I’m giving it 3 ⭐️ for the attempt and the fact that the author wrote a book (that takes courage!). I really really hope the author gets an editor and redoes the book, I’d love to give it another shot.
